Our Services

C41 Color Negative

We use a Colex 20” roller transport processor, which maintains computer controlled precision in temperature, replenishment, and speed. Unlike Minilab processors, our C41 process has two water wash stages that maximize the archival stability of the film. Additionally push and pull modifications utilize true time extension and reductions, eliminating the chance of color crossover.

E6 Color Reversal

We process all slide film in-house, in a state of the art Jobo ATL rotary film processor. E6 is run multiple times per week, so there is no slowdown in turnaround regardless of volume. The film is scanned using our Noritsu HS1800, which we have profiled specifically for the contrast range of available chrome films.

Monochrome

Black and white film is also run in our Jobo ATL processor. Our developer of choice is currently Clayton F76+, which yields detailed negatives, good density, and present but pleasing grain. Roll film is loaded onto Jobo 2500 series reels, and sheet film is done in EXPERT drums. Our Jobo is programmed to pre-wash your film to remove the halation layers and prep the emulsion for chemistry. The final stage in the Jobo is a 10 minute wash cycle for archival stability.

Large Format

After making key investments in both scanners and processing systems, we are able to offer both some of the best prices and highest quality large format services available. Our Colex C41 processor can handle any sheet film size from 4x5 to 16x20 ultra large format, dry to dry. E6 and B&W films are processed using Jobo EXPERT Drums. We scan sheet film using the incredible Creo Eversmart Supreme II, which will produce files for any enlargement.

Advanced Scans

The Creo Eversmart Supreme II can produce scans of the highest quality possible. This advanced production scanner uses a Rodenstock lens and actively cooled CCD to produce scans at up to 5600 pixels per inch. These 16 bit TIFFs are often in excess of 1gb, and will hold to almost any enlargement factor, especially from sheet formats. Film flatness is achieved through a anti-reflective and anti newtonian glass sandwich, or through fluid mounting (which is recommended for the largest scan sizes).

Bespoke B&W

We are now an importer of 510-Pyro from Zone Imaging. This staining developer yields even finer grain, delicate highlights, and superior tonality. We use this developer in our Jobo ATL rotary processors, and can now offer mechanized inversion processing using a Heiland TAS. This allows us to offer the benefits of inversion, and even semi-stand agitation at scale, with perfectly repeatable results.
